Martyn Joseph
Who is Martyn Joseph? At first glance Martyn Joseph is (just) another gifted singer songwriter. First impressions are there to mislead of course: Joseph's ambition is broader than entertainment, deeper than commerce. Some musicians want to move your feet, some just want to move you: Martyn Joseph wants to move heaven and earth. Somewhere back in the middle distance Martyn Joseph emerged from the pack and we began to notice.

Jill Jackson
Jill Jackson is a singer songwriter from Paisley who has been described in the Nashville press as the “Scottish Songbird”. As a solo artist her sound is far removed from the music she made as the front-woman of rock band Speedway, with whom she scored two top ten hits in 2004. From rock chick to country girl Jill has been gigging and recording as a solo artist since 2005. She has supported musicians such as Albert Lee, Roger McGuinn and Bryan Adams, and spent the end of 2008 on a “50 States in 50 Days” tour of the U.
James Yorkston and The Athletes
To call James Yorkston a folk singer is to miss the point by some distance and the fact that among his influences he lists Can, Jacques Brel and Linton Kwesi Johnson tells you something about the diverse and innovative approach he brings to the form. One review of his first album, with backing group the Athletes, Moving Up Country stated “James Yorkston is the real deal” and that simple judgement says a lot more than any attempt to classify or describe his work.
