Blues Rock
Wilko Johnson
Canvey Island-based bluesman whose choppy guitar style was prominent in early Dr Feelgood. One of the most important additions to the blues canon of the latter 20th century.
The Human Project
The Human has just released his second CD, Human Project II, Humanized. With 19 songs written in two years spanning two albums, some would say that this puts The Human in the prolific category. "Humanized" contains 10 more original songs that further put a stamp on what "Human Rock" really is. Crunchy guitars, searing leads, drivin bass, killer keyboards, pounding drums and The Human’s unique vocal style right out front. This new CD just flat out rocks.
Muleskinner Blues Band
Muleskinner Blues Band came together early in 2007 in Worcester. We've been through a few changes over the past year but we're back and we reckon we're better than ever. The engine-room of the band is the same trio that got together in March '07, but we've added the powerful blues voice of Juliette Prais to the line-up. And, yes, we still kick ass! See the band's website for a recent video with the new line-up: http://www.muleskinnerbluesband.com/sounds_videos1a.htm
Blackfoot
Blackfoot were a southern rock band from Jacksonville, Florida. They were formed in 1972 and were contemporaries of Lynyrd Skynyrd, but with a harder rock sound. They had a number of hit albums in the 1970s and early 1980s before their popularity started to wane. They had broken up by 1984, though not before former Uriah Heep keyboardist/songwriter Ken Hensley had joined the group during their last couple of years together.
Bernie Marsden
Bernie Marsden plays Blues-Hard Rock or Hard Rock-Blues.
He's mostly known for his time as guitarrist in Whitesnake (1978 - 1982).
Before Whitesnake he played with British Babe Ruth (check 'em out), PAL (Paice Ashton Lord)and a short period in UFO. He also played as a session musician during this period. During his last two years with Whitesnake he recorded 2 solo albums:
"And about time too" - 1980
"Look at me now" - 1981
On both records appeareances were made by Whitesnake colleagues.
Robin Trower
Robin Trower (born March 9, 1945 in Catford, England) is a british blues rock guitarist who achieved success with Procol Harum during the 1960's, and then again as the leader of his own power trio. Perhaps Trower's most famous album is Bridge Of Sighs (1974). This album, along with his first (Twice Removed From Yesterday) and third (For Earth Below) solo albums, was produced by his former Procol Harum bandmate, organist Matthew Fisher.
Sinnerboy
Sinnerboy exist since 1996, being the most long-lived and one of the best Rory Gallagher's tribute bands. It is a british trio, having only one goal in their lives: to sound like Rory Gallagher Band. They have always been present to every festival honoring Rory around the world, and they are Donal Gallagher's first choice for the participating groups in such events. "Sinnerboy are living proof that my brother's music still lives", he says. Live performances are the very essence of Sinnerboy, filled with authenticity, passion and many-many songs of their hero, Rory.
